Hopfenmarkt Hamburg archaelogical window
Auer Weber
Auer Weber’s approach to the archaeological window for the Hopfenmarkt in Hamburg translated into a staircase/open-air-auditorium which drew it's strength from the interstitial space created between the staircase and the church. At the bottom of the stairs, a huge glass skylight allows visual access to an architectural model depicting how the past took form.
